EPDM cones are used to replace original braided packings in
water valve stuffing boxes. The rubber cones are simpler to
install and have proved to last much longer than packings,
which are also prone to break-down with particles being
washed into the water system.

As a flexible rubber component, this design of seal ensures
constant pressure to form a water-tight seal even in worn
valves and can help prolong valve use, especially useful in
emergency situations where replacement hardware cannot
be quickly fitted.
